The Run Log

Every deal you make is written down. The Run Log, linked from the top of both the Corner and the Hospital, is your own book — nobody else can read it, and you can't read anyone else's.

What it records

One line per deal: what you bought or sold, how many, in which city, the price per unit at the time, and what your wallet actually did. Corner deals, pharmacy purchases, Demand Board deliveries and doses you took yourself all land in the same place.

The per-unit price matters because prices reshuffle every couple of hours. Once a period has rolled over there is no way to look up what a drug used to cost — so the log keeps it.

When it goes wrong

This is what the log is really for. A bust moves no money, so it leaves no trace in your cash history — but it does leave a line here, saying exactly how many units were seized and how long you were in a cell.

The same goes for money that quietly disappears:

  • A Trap House skim — the cut a crew takes on deals in a city they hold — is itemised, so a payout that came up short has a name attached to it.
  • A RICO raid that fires off one of your deals is recorded against that deal, rather than showing up later as an unexplained drop in your balance.

The totals

The four figures at the top cover your whole history, not just the page you're looking at: everything you've spent, everything you've taken in, the difference, and how many of your deals ended in a bust. They reset when the server does.
